Hardscaping

WOLI offers a wide variety of options from patios, walkways, walls, fences and arbors.

We can lead you and your guests through your new landscape via beautiful walkways and patios using brick, natural stone, manufactured pavers or even existing soil or decorative gravel mixed with a polymer to form a solid surface with the look of natural soil.

When slope is an issue, the transition can be beautifully created using a landscape wall made with brick, natural stone, modular wall blocks or timbers depending on the look desired and the budget allocated.

Often our customers like to give their property definition, offer a background to enhance the bloom effect of a flower bed, or create privacy for their new landscaped area. Fences can be created to
fill any or all of these criteria. Fences and arbors are all made out of pressure treated lumber or one of the decay resistant varieties such as redwood. With wood products, the sky is the limit, we can build a typical fence or a custom project that we enlist the help of the customer on design criteria and then our designers finish the design in the office on a CAD program.

As with everything we do, the customer is always encouraged to have input. We can create new custom hardscapes or we can work from existing plans provided by the customer.

Lighting

Low voltage landscape lighting has reached such a level of sophistication in the products available that it looks very simple and natural to the untrained eyes, and that is the desired effect. The skilled designers at WOLI can assist you in deriving the full benefits of your beautiful landscaping after the sun goes down. Lighting also provides better safety and security. Hiring a contractor who has knowledge of lighting is only half of the solution. A contractor needs to be chosen who has a thorough knowledge of the plants to be highlighted so that certain characteristics can be en-
hanced, such as knowing how a trunk will bend or contort with age, the overall shape of the plant with age or which plants have fruit glossy enough to reflect light. These criteria can make the difference between a good lighting project and one that takes your breath away. When installed properly, certain focal points or views can be greatly enhanced through directional lighting. The lighting can be "splashed" across a walkway or steps to ensure safe pedestrian travel without needing to use flood lights on the corners of the buildings. WOLI has the experience to design
and install a lighting system for your property either before or after the landscape has been installed.
